The race has gained national prominence in the battle for control of Congress. Walsh was elected in the 2010 with tea party support. Duckworth, an Iraq War veteran and former U.S. assistant secretary of veterans affairs, is making her second run at Congress after narrowly losing to U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam in 2006.

That guy is a moron and people are finally realizing it.

He won in an off year when anyone with his label was getting elected. Now that people know what he is about and are actually showing up to vote, they are throwing his ass out.

Outstanding news! These teabagger idiots need to be thrown to the curb where they belong.

This is the best part: Just 12 percent of voters found Walsh's membership in the Tea Party caucus a selling point, while 40 percent said it made them less likely to vote for his reelection.
