ok, let's use Fiddleheads annology: is an endorsement by Chavez any indication or what could be ahead? Did Romney do to Thrump and beg for an endorsement? I can't not control who approves of my postings or who doesn't. This doesn't mean I am a dig dong, if someone who might be very different from me praises something I say or I agree with someone who is to the other end of me political. This isn't about birthers, anyone who thinks it is needs to get a life.

Putting "the Donald" in a leadership role is sleazy enough on it's own, but then for Romney to just stand there and say nothing when Trump launched that awful birther attack this week says volumes about Romney--he's a gutless coward with zero decency.

My mother always said that the company you keep speaks volumes about your character...or lack of it. It looks like Trump and Romeny are a match made from the bottom of a garbage pail.
Excellent post. I wanted to rep you but couldn't.

I agree with all of those on this thread who point out that a candidate might not have a whole lot of control over who endorses him, but they sure have control over who they choose to appear at events with, and who they allow to throw fundraisers for them. Romney has had no problem standing beside Trump on the stage and using his name to raise money. The fact that he has never once denounced Trump for his ongoing birther blather speaks volumes about Mr. Romney's character, of lack thereof. McCain showed how it could be done with class and integrity--two traits that Romney proves, by his silent acquiescence, he completely lacks.

as has been pointed out in this thread you can't control who your supporters are but...... romney actively sought out trump's endorsement during the primaries and continued to align himself with trump. trump's recent antics this week bring birtherism back into the mainstream ( the demand for college applications is an extension of the birther "fulbright scholarship" myth ) of which romney has yet to give any response either distancing himself from or rejecting trump's "offer". whether or not that silence is perceived as an endorsement of trump's birther actions has yet to seen.
