How about everyone thanks everyone, Romney or not, for relief efforts AFTER the storm has passed and thank President Obama for concentrating on this issue and pre-actively issuing funds and support for this upcoming event.
Keep politics out of ~10 million people about to have a bad week.
But to anyone who looks into Romney's background and long history of volunteerism and donating, his current actions aren't surprising and wouldn't come off as simply a "campaign stunt" unless you were heavily biased against him.
No?
Just wait.
Far as I'm concerned, Mr. Romney is just trying to buy his way into heaven.
Private citizens can't volunteer or demonstrate leadership? That's news to me. Tell that to all of the Texan citizens who donated their time, money and even their homes to Louisiana people when hurricane Katrina hit. Tell that to every private organization for helping people in need. You are seriously misguided if you think it should only be the government involved while everyone else turns a blind eye.
As far as the rest of the vitriol about Romney from you and a few others about this, it's shameful and almost I feel sorry for those who are so angry and nasty.
Can't take the heat, and all.
Lots of people help; very few for the photo op.
"The Romney campaign has canceled campaign events, commercials, and fundraising appeals in states that will be impacted by Hurricane Sandy, and is instead using a campaign bus to help deliver supplies to those who will be impacted by what forecasters are predicting may be a 'storm of the century."'
The campaign is taking similar precautions in New Hampshire, where Ann Romney was supposed to be on Monday. They have cancelled that visit and are instead using another campaign bus to help with relief there."
These are people who truly care about others.
AKA politicizing. Mythster does have a knack for that, huh?

As far as you and many other hardcore Obama supporters are concerned, Obama can do no wrong and whoever is running against him can do no right, despite what any facts or evidence show.

My family and I volunteer for numerous organizations. If loading a bus with bottled water and toilet paper made you qualified to be president, then I should be running. Heck--my kids could run too.
Politicizing an event where people could DIE is very inappropriate. It becomes outrageous when you've openly stated that part of your economic plan is to gut FEMA. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/1...n_2036198.html
Transparent political theater. I think that this storm is going to boost Obama's image immensely. Here he is in DC monitoring events, managing a huge crisis while Romney is out trying to make political hay of it. Shades of Libya.
