For those of you into conspiracy theories, there is a secret government program called H.A.A.R.P. Supposedly the government can trigger earthquakes, create and affect the direction of storm systems. Before you say this is hog wash, scientists in the middle east used technology to make it rain in the desert.
This freak storm is unusual, particularly in late October. It seems to be a coincidence this storm has approached the east coast seaboard this close to the election. The storm will likely cause flooding, some wind damage and power outages. The question is will power be restored before the election? That depends on the damage. But already the storm is affecting early voting. There are ways this storm can benefit Romney but there are also ways this storm can benefit Obama. How the president handles this disaster could help tip some of the undecideds his way. But many are already blaming H.A.A.R.P. The U.S. government openly says they are experimenting with weather modification but how much the government is actually able to do is still top secret.
"The fact that weather weapons are used to manipulate meteorological conditions for public events is now common knowledge.
As far back as the 1960′s, the U.S. government had the technology to steer hurricanes, according to weather modification expert Ben Livingston, who briefed President Lyndon B. Johnson on the effectiveness of weather control activities and helped oversee their use during the Vietnam war.
“In the 1960s, a national priority of our government was hurricane control,” Livingston told the Midland Reporter Telegram. “Silver iodide is used as a nuclei that causes raindrops to form. The original hypothesis is that if you get enough rain or cool air into a hurricane you can diminish its velocity and strength. When I left the military in the 1960s, we had the ability to do that, and reduce wind velocity in hurricanes by 25 percent and damage caused by a hurricane by 63 percent.”
This could help Obama in close states where people have been voting early for a while now. Low GOP turnout on election day because of the storm would be devastating to Romney. It may also take longer to restore power to rural areas which is GOP territory. It would also make it difficult for senior citizens who support Romney.
What sort of massive conspiracy would this have to be? Similar to those who claim 9/11 was an inside job or the moon landing in 1969 was staged?
Do I think obama would do something like this if he could? Absolutely. Do I think he can? No.
If ever someone or in this case 2 could post bogus reports this is certainly the perfect example. Of course, most of us, who have some level of intellgence know only Gore could do something like this...right??

It is perfectly normal for hurricanes to form in the Atlantic basin late in October - the tropical waters are still quite warm. In fact it is perfectly normal to have hurricanes form until late in NOVEMBER when the Atlantic hurricane season ends.
Folks this is not crazy. There is science behind this. It has already been demonstrated by scientists who caused it to rain in a desert in the middle east
Well since it hit in the middle of the Bluest, most liberal Democratic place in America I'd say Romney and the Koch's are responsible.
MAN CANNOT PRODUCE the power needed to affect hurricanes. A frigging nuclear bomb couldnt even stop one or make it change direction.
Don't be so sure about that. The U.S. government has technology decades ahead of what the public knows of. Ben Rich, "father of stealth" and former vice-president of Lockheed even said the government has technology decades ahead. Lockheed does top secret contract work for the government. Before Ben Rich died of cancer he even stated that the U.S. government has made scientific breakthroughs in anti-gravity propulsion air/space craft. Maybe that explains some of those UFO sightings. So nothing surprises me. If some scientists in the middle east can create rainstorms, image what our government can do.

It has to to with power.
Humans produce 15 terawatts of power every year. A hurricane produces 200 times that everyday it remains above a catagory 1.
