What's a $500 donation when you can stop funding emergency services nationwide?

His proposal to end FEMA will reap him ten of thousands in reduced taxes......ooops...he's not willing to raise his taxes at all.

Jealous your loser in chief has never given to charity like Romney has? What are you entitlement happy, success hating, idiots going to do when President Romney takes office? You are going to have to start being responsible for yourselves and that scares ya, huh?

It's not uncommon to receive opened and partially consumed package goods. Saltine cracker boxes that should contain 4 sleeves of crackers contain one half-full sleeve- too common.

Anyone want to venture a guess how common it is to recive donations of canned " spotted dick"?

Some folk are nuts and donate their garbage and then feel good about doing so. In other words, the food donations are all about the giver.

Appreciate Red Cross does not have the recources available to tackle the mounumental task of inspecting donations. It's far more productive for Red Cross to purchase in bulk and dispense.

Red Cross has several doner matching programs that allow an individual $ donation to multiply.

Folk who want to make a difference give $.
Great post.

Donating dollars to a well organised charity like the Red Cross which is experienced in handling disaster situations is BY FAR the most effective way to help in a situation like the Sandy aftermath.

If you want to help the needy in your own community then by all means donate acceptable food items to/volunteer at your local food bank - but otherwise sending money is far more beneficial to aid efforts.

See the ginormous television screen behind his right shoulder? Guess what’s on that screen? A giant red cross that says Donate $10 for Hurricane Sandy relief by sending a text to 90999. There was ANOTHER screen exactly like that one on the left as well.

So if you needed help he provided, you'd turn it down?

Pathetic. You don't even realize he's actually doing something whilst that nutjob 0bama is merely parading around hoping to look presidential. FAIL.

Anderson Cooper said it was the most amazing recovery effort he had ever seen. Biggest non-hurricane disaster in the country, and my city & state pulled together to help each other out.

BTW: That healthcare plan was Clinton's iniative. He worked with our state governor to try out TennCare, and it was an unmitigated disaster. Our next governor was a Dem. who made all of the cutbacks. And he, a Democrat with both private and public healthcare experience, has told Obama that Obamacare is a disaster.
Great post and very true! I have family in Tennessee and it was devastating and Obama really let the ball drop.
