The fact is that the Red Cross doesnt accept just a bag of cans and clothes. Those things have to be sorted and cleaned, and accepting them violates the Red Cross policies. Now that Romney would bother to figrue that out. At least he has changed his tune and has asked people to donate money to the Red Cross.
he donated money
he asked people to donate money
he collected goods to take to the affected areas

Offers of sizeable, bulk donations are reviewed to determine if they meet a current need for disaster victims that can be addressed by the Red Cross. Bulk donations are typically new, shrink-wrapped and palletized items, and they are transported by the donor.
Romney uses Sandy as a photo op. A way to bolster his sagging campaign by having his own supporters bring him jars of peanut butter he bought. It's pathetic.
Thank you for this information. One would think that someone in the Romney camp would have checked with the Red Cross before beginning this food drive. You have to wonder if he is this inept with a simple volunteer effort how he would handle other more difficult things required of a president. If anything, given what you have posted, this whole debacle has been more detriment than help to his campaign.
Romney had zero interest in actually helping people, this was just campaign optics done horribly wrong.
A non-campaign event in Ohio? Does anyone not addicted to Fox News and right wing spin really believe this stuff?

not nearly as pathetic as you trying to politicize this..
Then you quoted middle*age*mom, who was not a thread starter, and therefor not someone I referred to in my first post. So I corrected you:
See? It's generally best to actually read a post you are responding to before replying with a smart ass remark. I was referring to the multiple thread starters bashing Romney for giving money, collecting goods, etc. to help the hurricane victims.
YOU are the one to ASS*uME! You are responsible for your statement that you ASS*uME. I said continue to ASS*uME.
My post contained several different thoughts. Too hard, eh?

Then why does he donate so much dam money to people year after year?
