We need Paul Ryan to wash some dishes at the shelters. Where is he?
We need Biden to hang out at gas stations and ask people how much it costs to fill their tank. Where is he? remember the crisis he talked about? The high cost of gas? he ran on the idea that, gasp, the president wasn't doing his job. Oh yeah, but then the POTUS was GWB.
Fox and Friends got a spanking by Chris Christie today for politicizing the storm for Romney.

Obama's much, much worse in that regard. He's spent his entire life manipulating the power structure. You don't experience the meteoric rise through the Chicago/Illinois/U.S. political systems that he has without wanting it really, really badly. His thirst for power is downright frightening.
Please, OP, take your head out of Romney's ...... If Romney was REALLY concerned about the storm victims, this event, wouldn't have had campaign badges given out during it and furthermore, it would have been in VA, PA, or even NJ. Not Ohio, which had almost zero damage from the storm. No Repug has ever won the POTUS, without winning OH, that's the only reason why he did this in OH.

However, Romney is the picture of moderation compared to his running mate Paul Ryan. Ryan’s budget calls for every cent in disaster relief to be offset by cuts in discretionary spending. The programs that are considered discretionary spending include things like veterans’ benefits and the VA, federal aid to local school districts, the FBI, the DEA, the entire federal prison system, the FDA, the National Institute of Health, and the Coast Guard. (If Republicans have their way, veterans will go without, our food could be less safe, and the National Institute of Health would less prepared for a health emergency because a natural disaster struck, and any federal spending must be offset. Thus, a severe natural disaster could have a long term impact on the nation beyond cleaning up and rebuilding.) Romney believes that the money for disaster relief should be given to the states in the form of block grants. The thing about a block grant is that it comes with no mandates, or strings attached. The federal government would give each state a lump sum for disaster relief, and it would be up to the individual states to determine how it would be spent. They don’t have to spend it on disaster relief. They could use the money to balance their budgets or cut taxes for the wealthy. The quality of a state’s disaster relief would be completely dependent on the priorities of the governor and the legislature.
The states cannot handle issues like this.
When Atlanta privatized the water supply, residents were getting erroneous monthly bills of $3-5,000.00
They had to resolve it in court bcs it was too much for the city/state to micro-manage.

A natural disaster is a good time to reflect on what we need to do to avoid an unnatural disaster. Right now, that’s clearer than ever—don’t allow Mitt Romney to become president. When asked about FEMA in the primary debates, Mitt said responsibility for disaster relief should be foisted onto the states. How would you like to be in a life threatening situation, and be depending on Rick Scott or Jan Brewer for help? Evidently Mitt was concerned that wasn’t crazy enough for base, because he added “And if you can go even further, and send it back to the private sector, that’s even better.” Got that? If you’re flooded, call Goldman Sachs! Mitt wants for-profit disaster relief! Mitt, there are already private-sector people taking part in disaster relief—those slime-balls who do things like sell bottled water for $10 a bottle. Mitt wants that on a corporate scale!
