IMO, the "R" and "T" parties are using the MLK image to convince minorities to vote for them, nothing more, nothing less.
I would suppose the family of Dr. MLK gave the R's permission to reprint images of their late family member.

Disrespectful! Republicans Use Image Of MLK To Woo Black Voters! (PHOTO) | Global Grind
The niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Dr. Alveda King, marched with him.

Alveda King - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dr. Alveda King recently said about Obama, "black people need jobs. Black people don't need abortions."

I came in here to post what you did but I also wanted to note that Dr. Alveda King has also had TWO ABORTIONS and is one of the most outspoken pro-life advocates in America today. She knows from experience what the scourge of abortion entails, but apparently we're to believe pro-abortion and pro-contraception advocates (like Obama and Sandra Fluke) because they want to impose their beliefs upon us.

So I am lead to believe that MLK would be against the Democrats today, OP (SHABAZZ310) there is your answer.

And, much like another leader from the era, one John Lewis, he would be loud in his attacks on the voter suppression efforts of the modern GOP, as well as their howls that we need to attack Iran as soon as possible. Never mind the blatant stereotypes of black people that we often see, including in this thread, or holding up aid for disaster victims, as the current GOP-controlled Congress loves to do.
