"The first election-related federal lawsuit has already been filed in South Florida, where some citizens waited over seven hours to vote early over the weekend. In an area that includes Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Broward County -- yes, that Broward County -- Florida Democrats scrambled to extend early voting hours over the weekend citing "inadequate polling facilities" in a complaint filed in a Miami federal court on Sunday. "The extraordinarily long lines deterred or prevented voters from waiting to vote," says the lawsuit. "Some voters left the polling sites upon learning of the expected wait, and others refused to line up altogether. These long lines and extreme delays unduly and unjustifiably burdened the right to vote." These three counties are home to 32 percent of the state's Democrats.

Can anyone explain what the heck is wrong with Florida when it comes to election time?

yes. these are democrat controlled counties. The democrats who run these things know that by causing this to happen they have a legal stand to dispute a tight race.
dems messing around to steal an election. THAT is what is wrong here.

That doesnt make sense. Why would Dems be limited the Dems vote? Do Dems want Rep to win in FL or something?

What do you mean "what the heck is wrong with Florida?"
It's not a bug, it's a feature. Rick Scott, who went from committing Medicare fraud to running the state, and the Republican dominated Legislature decided to cut down on the days available for early voting because early voting favors Democrats. What's happening now, with people stuck waiting on line for hours, people getting discouraged and leaving, and people being turned away is exactly what the Republicans are trying to do to steal the election.
Not precisely the same methods they used in 2000, but definitely the same intended result.

It makes more sense to wait for seven hours to vote...if need be than clutter up and make a situation overly complex with a damned law suit...no one benefits from these types of actions..they just make things worse- How is a suit going to speed up the process?

I tell you what's wrong....More voter suppression attempts from the declining right....Mittens will most likely lose VA and OH now so I don't know what they are trying to prove.

Because they know they are only loosing a few hundred votes when they will lose the state by a few thousand. BUT by losing those few hundred, they gain a legal footing to challenge the results they could not hope to challenge by counting the actual votes.
Beyond that, lets be clear that these same voters still have more o pportunity to vote. BUT now they have an "issue".
