Don't be a fool. He predicted the outcome of every state correctly, not just who the winner would be. You pugs laughed at his models and predictions and he was right on the money. pwned.

Seriously, the dude is amazing. Not only for being an epic numbers guy, but also he likes to explain things. His blog posts are like scientific journal articles. Well reasoned, informative, detailed. He has a lot of gifts. I just finished his book, which talks about predicting hurricanes, earth quakes, baseball, poker, economics, climate change,etc.,etc. Great stuff, and damn interesting.

A gifted man. Making guys like Dick Morris, Dean Chambers, Karl Rove, Joe Scarborough, and Michael Barone are all looking like the bs artists they are.
This is the more important part. It's not so much that Silver is a genius - his model isn't amazing, although I'll agree that probability is a fairly difficult subject. Silver's real claim is that he can translate what he's doing into plain English, which is something many statisticians can't do.

But let's be honest, guys like Dick Morris don't need any help making themselves look like bs'ers
