Well, as I said somewhere, Obama will probably try and have the 22nd Amendment repealed so it will most likely be a 3rd term for Obama.

Lets see if that will fly in Congress, I doubt it heavily though.

Also Bill Clinton wouldn't like it for Hillary not to run in 2016.

First Obama was going to declare martial law, then he was going to cancel elections, and now he's going to try for a third term.

Honestly, you guys are a hoot. You should take this act on the road. Not grounded in reality in the least, but that's what makes you so ridiculously funny.

(A) Hillary did virtually as well in 2008 primaries, and (B) Latinos will be up 1-2 million more by 2016.

We keep hearing how the republicans are now being hurt by America's changing racial and ethnic demographics. But more than likely the next democratic candidates won't be as successful as Obama was at taking advantange of these changing demographics. I mean even the next black democratic candidate might not be as successful as Obama was with being able to attract huge numbers of black-American and Latino voters. So are democrats jumping the gun in assuming they have it made from now on just because of changing demographics?
No time to read the whole thread right now, but this assumes that President Obama won't turn over his immense on-the-ground network and campaign system to the next candidate, or to the Party itself.

He will.

The GOP will remain forever screwed if they don't figure out how to dial back the crazy.

I'd bet BC campaigned so hard in return for a Obama promise of support for HC over Biden in 2016.

HC would have beaten JM/palin ever bit as badly in 2008.

Obama is not going to be on the ticket in 2016. The Democrats don't have anyone on the horizon that can motivate voters the way Obama did.

Plenty of great people on the horizon for the Dems. Deval Patrick, Cory Booker, Liz Warren, Joe Kennedy, Kirsten Gillibrand, Tammy Duckworth just to name a few. I don't think any of them (accept maybe Patrick) will get in the mix for 2016 but there are plenty of Dem out there to motivate voters, you'd be silly to think otherwise. Add to it the Democrats will continue to have an electoral college math advantage in 2016 unless the GOP shifts dramatically. Then whoever the nominee is gets the backing of Bill Clinton, Obama, and Biden to help him or her campaign. Not to mention Michelle O and Jill Biden can both draw crowds on there own in the right places and if Hillary doesn't run, she could follow in Bill's footsteps and be an avid campaigner for whoever the nominee is.
