Lol, leave it to the *******ed to spin a 50% win as some sort of landslide I remember how the libs were when Bush was re-elected with 50% of the popular vote. They decried it! So [libs] don't give us that crap that Obama landslided Romney and has some sort of mandate because you denied Bush that when he won re-election.

It's a landslide not because of the presidential outcome per say, but because Democrates gained seats in the senate, and won all but one of the "battleground" states (NC being the lone exception).

And conservatives were claiming they were going to retake the senate....right.

Just to put these comments into context, Bush won by 35 electoral votes and about 3 million votes in the popular election, while Obama won by 126 electoral votes and slightly less than 3 million votes in the popular.

It still does not mean anything. The only thing that means is that Obama was competitive in battleground states, nothing more. Obama won the same states in 2012 as he did in 2008, except NC, but with much smaller margins.

Democrats only gained 2 seats in the Senate, plus one independent likely to caucus with them. That's not a landslide, that's squeaking by. Come back down to Earth. Your side is going through the euphoric and overconfidence stage that Republicans did when they squeaked by in 2004. If you want a landslide, look at the 2010 midterms. That was a landslide

He won literally every single battleground state except for North Carolina. 2008 was a rout, 2012 was a strong win. You can dispute the landslide call for the presidential election, but taking all of the elections into account, it was domination for the Democrats. The reaction from the Republican Party reflects the extent of their loss.
