What's particularily amusing here was that in 2008, supporting Hillary got a number of people called "racist".
Only stupid people would have done that, and stupidity knows no political party affiliation.

Yeah, it cracks me up when people complain about President Obama being too liberal - he's no liberal, and neither is Hillary. OP, You are correct, but it is neither HC or BO. It is the radicalization of the GOP making them a non factor for POTUS.

After the Romney in a landslide fiasco the media have been falling all over themselves to explain why the GOP lost the last election,but its as if the GOP havent learned a thing from the losing experience or the subsequent advice being given, they just plod along alienating themselves from even more demographics getting more extreme and hateful all the time and basically showing no willingness to change to accommodate the changing face of America, a course of action doomed to fail.,
In 2016 they have absolutely no chance whatsoever of victory and continued adherence to extreme teabagger rhetoric could wipe them off the political map entirely,
So go ahead righties keep letting the likes of Limbaugh/Beck and FOX continue to lead you down the garden path by telling you how to think and who knows it might be some one like Rand Paul in a landslide in 2016....
Until the GOP can put up a moderate, charismatic candidate, they will not win the White House. The Demographics of the country have shifted away from what favored the Republicans to what now favors the Democrats. If the GOP doesn't evolve, or at least stay moderate on social issues, they don't stand a chance. Too many young voters go to the polls driven by emotion on single issues like abortion or gay marriage and could care less about economics or foreign policy.
Unless the GOP can shake the stereotypes the Democrats and pop culture constantly bludgeon them with, they're pretty well screwed. Their only other hope is that the country is so messed up by 2016 that enough moderates cast their votes for the R on the ticket.

Demographics have not favored republicans in almost 100 years. Turnout has favored them.
Democrats also arent placing stereotypes on Republicans they are doing it themselves by putting forth legislation the prove it, whether it be voting restrictions, abortion, or education.
Support appears to be gaining for Hillary Clinton to succeed the great President Obama as President of the United States in 2016. She would be the first WOMAN to hold that position, a result of the CHANGE that President Obama represents. Should would get even more support than President Obama did in this last election, completely obliterating the GOP opposition. The GOP will again waste a FORTUNE in the losing effort. Imagine her having Colin Powell as her running mate. How about an Latino as her running mate, or an Asian? Maybe she would pick someone who is of mixed-race and GAY? Any combination dooms the hapless GOP. There isn't a GOP candidate alive who could compete.
I'm betting against her running, for reasons that I've given before. Mainly that she will be 69 on election day, and she's already started to experience old-age health issues. FP has been more or less a mess under her watch. We're supposed to exit Afghanistan in 2014, which means that there will be just enough time for a huge clusterf@#$ there in 2016.
And as creekcat points out there will be a series of domestic messes left behind by the Obama admin that the next prez will have to confront.
And unless the economy by some miracle turns around, voters might be in a mood to put an R back at the helm. U6 unemployment actually went up to 14.2%, after being mostly under 10 from 1996 to 2007
