Selecting a stronger candidate will not cut it, the GOP has no platform other than their warped religious mindset. You could run jesus on that platform and you would still lose. This is the whole implosion of the R-W as you have injected religion into politics so much you cannot tell the difference anymore. Not only are you turning off the youth with this archaic thinking and fairy tales, you are exacting the same in the political arena.
The economy is FUBAR and global but the GOP are the ones that run on entitlement except that that entitlement is for the whites only. Look at your base, you're a bunch of whiney whities and you are EXACTLY like the right wingnuts were here in SA in the late 80s and an early 90s.
The idea that you do not have a war on women is NOT reflected in the many statewide new laws passed on the abortion issue. You argue like morons trying to redefine globally accepted science and a precedent that has stood for 40 odd years in RvW. This and the issue regarding SSM is all that rallies your base.

This was by no means a "conservative" humiliation or rebuke. For there was very little "conservative" in Mitt Romney. What this was is a very appropriate rejection of Romney's personna and his treasonous Big Business partners for their reckless abandonment of US national interests and major role in bringing this nation to its knees. That's all.

Next time you want to post about how to elect your leaders be sure and do so, then we can tell you what is wrong with S.A. BTW, it might interest you to know, how the liberal media sees things and how they really are, can be very different. For the most part the GOPS are not a bunch of right wing evangilicals, anymore that the left wing are a bunch of say, Atheists...

HUH?? Latinos with a 4.8 million Obama plurality, were larger than Obama's total popular vote margin.
It was not Gordon Geiko. That did harm him in the summer, but Romney was the man self deported Tuesday night.

Do you want to discuss the facts like the national debt, the numbers on welfare, the deficits, the unemployment numbers, the record foreclosures, the failure to pass a budget, the downgrading of the debt, the complete failure of a president called Obama?
That's exactly right. You can't debate real ideas if one side is living on earth and the other side is in fantasy land. FOX news and some conservative pundits really did their viewers, and the country, a disservice when they went on about how the polls were skewed, or how Obama is a dangerous Muslim communist from Kenya, etc. etc. The part that disturbs me the most is that I don't think it was just cold, calulated spin to try to keep up the spirits of the base--I think they really believed it. It's the same kind of thinking that creates huge problems for the campaigns themselves--if you lie, you convince yourself that you're really telling the truth, or that it's ok because you're on the side of the good and the true. The problem is that voters who aren't in your bubble just see a liar. It's a vicious circle.
The problem with this is anybody who doesn't agree with liberalism in any way is living in fantasy land or stuck in 1952. A civil debate cannot be had because liberals know they are right and are unopen to even listening to what the other side has to say. They just immediately call them haters, bigots, racist, nutjobs, etc.
The country has spoken though with young people leading the way. Its not "cool" to be a conservative.
Yes, I'd have to agree. I often find la Maddow annoying, mostly for stylistic reasons. Her point here, though, is spot on.
