The GOP definitely has an uphill battle but if economic collapse happens all bets are off.
Pathetic, if an economic collapse Ever happens, we know the gop didnt help, like they been doing for the past 4 years. If a collapse happens, those liberals have a legit finger to point and thanks to you, those democrat alliance group will believe them! because they feel the dems.
Bush got 44% of the Latino vote in 2004, so it certainly isn't a lost cause.
He did so because he proposed an amnesty. Is that what the Republicans have to do to gain the Hispanic vote is to put their ethnic group above our immigration laws and reward them for breaking them? There is something so wrong with this picture.

There must be, since Reagan did it in 1986.
On election day, 12 million did not self deport. One man, Romney, was self deported to Massachusetts ( a quote from a Latino leader on CNN).
WIth successful rebranding the first group out of the Dem coalition will be Asians. Once they learn the Dems plan on confiscating their wealth and university slots for Blacks and Browns there will be a stampede for the exits. The GOP can get some more Hispanics with better messaging as well but they'll probably never get a majority of them. While a slight majority of Hispanics hold unfavorable views of socialism an even greater percentage of them have negative views of capitalism.
Blacks are committed socialists no amount of rebranding will move the needle much towards the GOP.

Nonesense about the Asians, we understand about wealth equality, we understand who our customers are and they are not the super wealthy, its those working / middle class. Those are our pundits and understand we need them at a strong position so they can do business with the small/medium sized business. Those are safer bets than those special interests.
This makes the perhaps invalid assumption that no other party will rise up in the next four years that could splinter the GOP and/or the Democrats. Plus, based on a survey done by Univision, almost 2/3 of Latinos do not consider themselves part of either the Democratic or Republican parties. They are very much independent.

.
Yes, and he lived to regret it. It was supposed to be 1.5 million back then and it turned out to be 3 million. I think that what Reagan did was wrong just as I think Obama granting amnesty is wrong. Why would 12 million self-deport on election day? Obama was re-elected. Very telling that a Latino leader would defend illegal immigrants and attack Romney instead, isn't it?
It is noted that you wouldn't answer my question but no surprise.

If Romney had won, they also would not self deport. Get over it, they are here, they are working, very often at jobs native born will not do anyway.
Now if one wants to discuss how to tighten the border to prevent this issue coming up 15 years up the road, awesome. But the 12 mill were staying, no matter who won, as talking the talk is easy, but walking the walk is tough.
