Alex: Correct

That is an amusing bit of fiction there.

But after the country has suffered through 8 years of Obama, no way will it become fact.

If the {R}s keep running the likes of McCain,Romney, and Santorum types that could become a reality.

I hope Santorum does run. In fact, I hope he gets the nomination and picks Michelle Bachmann as his running mate.

I know he's a brain-poisoned religious lunatic.

Perfect for the fatih-based party the GOP has mutated into.

It does not surprise me at all that Democrats support a Santorum to the point where they say they would vote in a GOP primary for him. Santorum is a big government guy who is actually closer to the Dem zeitgeist than any of the others in the 2012 R field, perhaps with the exception of Newt.

But he will never make it thru an R primary. That should be pretty clear from his record in 2012. After winning (or really tying) in Iowa, he sunk like a rock. Maybe he could run as a Dem in 2016.

I am not a fan of either of the parties and mostly vote 3rd party, looking at the condition of the country I am amazed that there are partisans.

Rand Paul will be the nominee if he runs in 2016.
