It is funny how quickly you Cons turn against your own the moment someone acts bipartisanly. I remember leading up to the Republican Primary, the Cons were begging him to run for president and constantly speculating when he was gonna jump in.

No idea what the president has to do with this, but, that statement seems pretty much par for the course for Gov. Christie.

Does anyone know if there is some bylaw that states that special elections cannot occur on the same date as one already scheduled in November?
It does seem very wasteful to spend all of that money if there is an alternative.

And I do not agree with Christie on everything.

I actually wish he would run as an (I).
Me too!

I'd vote for him as an (I) but not as an (R).

To get the nod as an (R) he'd have his nose up far too many RWNJ butts.

Personally, I 'd like to see him thumb his nose at both major parties and run as an (I).

Maybe it's because Christie cares more about his state than he does towing the party line. In fact, it's almost certainly the reason, as we've seen him act in the interest of the state over the GOP several times now.

I don't understand how some on the right think Christie is a liberal. Is it because he hates his national party? I hate the GOP too, but that doesn't make him less of a conservative. In fact, when was the last time the GOP was truly conservative? He's a conservative, but not a strong Republican. So what?

Progressives? What are these things you call 'progressives'.

Hint: It ain't dems/libs.

They are anything but.

They're trying to regress us back to the days in Merry Olde England when the government told people every move to make and how to make it.

Yeah, he cares about the state so much that he is charging it 24 million for this special election AFTER he passed his OWN law consolidating elections for that very reason. His excuse that NJ deserves to elect someone to that position is BS, what is a month's wait? He separated the elections so Booker won't be on the same ticket as him. Politics are at play, not what is best for the state.

Could it be because conservatives don't march in lockstep with their master like idiotic liberals do?

He might not be a true Liberal, but he's enjoying scores of donations coming in from Progressive groups, some are Soros groups. Why would they be doing this? It doesn't smell right. Those groups don't spend money on anything unless it is for THEIR gain.
