I heard he was supposed to be the Republican party winner -- yet I see no posts about him. Who is he and what does he do? Why would anyone vote for him?

Doesn't the lack of posts actually reflect a lack of support?

Isn't he the guy who used to play the DA on Law and Order?

I dunno. I don't watch Law & Order.

Is that supposed to be his sole qualification? He plays a DA on TV?

He is extremely sour and sad looking. The man does not smile. I understand the media elite now thinks he is boring and have lost interest in him.

It turns out that he is NOT the charismatic guy everyone saw on TV and in the movies. Not to mention he appears to be another GOP talking-point regurgitator and even most Republicans are onto THAT garbage....

I was excited to see him as a candidate but got that out of my system in a big hurry....

I suspect he is very intelligent but you wouldn't know it just from the answers he's given to questions when there was national exposure. Perhaps poorly advised by his campaign manager or friends he kept providing non-answers to any questions thrown his direction the past few months. That was interesting at first, but now it is out of place and annoying.

A turn-off for me initially was also his lack of political record. There's plenty of candidates right now that have experience working in politics. A person would have to have tremendous charisma and grasp of what was going on as a political outsider to convince me they could be a good US president. With him providing non-answers to all questions makes me doubt the latter.

Overall I am really underwhelmed by Fred's performance right now. That could change inthe future, but for this snapshot in time he just seems like a typical uber-confident actor aligned with a political party who started to believe what others were telling him. Others who lavished him with praise or complements just to encourage him to raise more money or act as a spokesperson for the Republican party.

I don't think he really cares. IMO he's doing this for the same reason as colbert, for ****s and giggles. It's obvious he could care less about the campaign.

You can't take the Hollywood out of people. Maybe he has just tired of the political stage, not enough kudos, etc. He just needs a new TV show and he'll be fine.
