There is a difference between us Conservatives and you . You have little conviction, morals, character. Many of us are sick and tired of cronyism, phonies, self serving jerks. You will take any establishment type.

Doesn't matter - it's an R+10 district. Barring a major third-party spoiler (see below), the new Republican wins easily.

The only issue now is whether or not Cantor channels Lisa Murkowski and runs as a write-in (it's too late for him to get on the ballot as an independent).

Does he? Probably not. But maybe. He doesn't have a lot of choices. The next major Virginia office won't be up for election for another three years (Governor), so he doesn't have many options to continue his political career elsewhere.

Not hugely - there's reasons Cantor ran really hard and really negative, and those reasons are probably internal polls by the Cantor campaign showing that he was in trouble. Cantor's electoral behavior has gotten some notice recently. This morning I read a primary preview (can't remember where - maybe the Great Orange Satan) that noted that Cantor seemed particularly alarmed, thus deducing he might be in trouble.

Not this liberal, either. I'm thrilled to see him go. The more party in-fighting between the Tea Party and the Establishment GOP, the better.

Default Wow oh wow! Eric Cantor just lost to David Brat in Virginia!

Hey Eric, how did that support for illegal mass immigration work out for you?

56% to 44% Brat!

No doubt wavering republicans on immigration reform and taking a second look at this race.

Eric Cantor lost! That is so awesome, should be easy for the Democrats to beat the far right winger who beat Cantor.
