Cruz instigated a blowout election for the GOP, recapturing the Senate. The Rhino Republicans and Democrats should learn a lesson in principled politics.

"Shut down is a misnomer; what it in fact is is a partial, temporary shut down" where "nonessential government functions are temporarily suspended. "Now that's inconvenient," Cruz admitted, before adding "but we actually see that every single week on the weekends":

Exactly, but then should we have expected anything different from someone who worked for Baby Bush. Rafael Cruz is nothing more than a far right Washington Insider.

Because we always win with moderates - not.

"If we nominate another candidate in the mold of [1996 nominee] Bob Dole or [Arizona Senator and 2008 nominee] John McCain or Mitt Romney," Cruz said Sunday, "the same people who stayed home in 2008 and 2012 will stay home in 2016 and the Democrats will win again. There is a better way."

"And that $24 billion I just blew through so I could read Green Eggs and Ham in the Senate chamber and get all that free air time? Meh, that's just taxpayer money. Who cares as long as I got my photo op?"

What a good little fiscal conservative he is.

The American people became VERY aware of the ACA debacle. I'd say that was some good filibustering! Want to talk about the WASTED taxpayer money on the ACA debacle?

Then we have Non-religious Conservatives and we have Non-religious Progressives.

We have the conserve and preserve the Constitution v. We have to progressively find a way around the Constitution.

There is no middle ground when compromising the US Constitution. It is still the Constitution that chains down the government. Compromise on that and you compromise our Liberty and freedoms, giving it to government to control.
