Yuck. Cruz is slimy. He looks like a used car salesman.
I think Paul and Rubio are going to have a hard time hanging in there when the pressure starts to mount. Paul will lose his temper. Rubio will get nervous.
Rand Paul is going to appeal to the Libertarian group who was loyal to his father Ron Paul, he is also going to appeal to a broader base because he is more younger and more "mainstream" than his father.

Paul has a loyal base but he is seen as too radical
I think I would vote for the "mainstream radical" before I would vote for Ted Cruz.
It's more than a year before the 2 parties conventions so way early. Republican is going to be very interesting. I thought Rubio should have been on the ticket last time as the VP candidate as he is interesting and dynamic. Whether or not he can unite the Repub base is unknown. Cruz is also a good candidate but right now is viewed as possibly too conservative...he will have to be a dynamic personality to change that perception imo. Rand Paul is my personal favorite on policy but I'm not yet convinced he can be the dynamic leader the Repubs will need to win the Presidency. Jeb will have to repair some perceptions caused by George W...at least differentiate himself from the bad decisions (I'm thinking Iraq) that Geroge W made.
My early pick is Rubio.
On the Dem side, everybody is saying Hillary and right now I don't see a major challenger but that could change once the candidates get going. Early pick is Hillary.
