When did Barack Obama become a media hit? (democratic, polls, Clinton)

Was it in 2006 or 2007? I think at this point in the election cycle back then, him and Hillary were groomed already. Right now, it's only Hillary on the Dem side that's being pushed by the media. This is troubling for those wishing for an alternative to Hillary.

Obama became a media hit at the 2004 Democratic Convention. As late as December 2007 the polls showed him losing to Hillary and that is how the media reported it. It was not until he won in Iowa that the story line turned.

The Dems just don't have a "rock star" this time. Anyone who emerges is going to be a relatively unknown or a boring career politician. (A Barack Obama does not come along often. In fact, I don't know that there has been anyone who captured people's attention like he did in the past) The Reps have a couple of interesting characters, but all of them have limited appeal outside of the fringe. It looks like Bush vs Clinton. Sad.

After Obama's amazing speech at the 2004 Convention you just knew he was a rising star in the party.

So far Martin O'Malley is the only one challenging Hillary and her goons are all over him to shut him down. If you see a negative story about O'Malley (who does have his own baggage) there's a good chance it was a Hillary plant.
