Bob ignores the fact the the President is not the ONLY branch of government and only has limited powers.

He says that the GOP needs to "widening" its tent.....which is a code word for amnesty & abortions on demand using tax payers dollars.....basically just being a copy cat of the Democrat party.

The fact is: The Republican Party has split 2-2 with the Democrat Party in the last 4 Presidential Elections. The Republican Party controls the majority of the governorships and state legislatures 31 states to 18 states for the Democrats . The Republican Party controls the House and Senate and the Supreme Court which has more power than the President.

I say the Republican party is in a better position as a party than the Democrat Party.

If Hillary loses in 2016, the Democrats won't have the majority in any branch of government. They need this badly. Republicans can't still lose in 2016 and still control the majority of the government branches and governorships of the nation.

by the way, no party has won the WH 3 times in a row for close to 28 years , the last time it happened the nation wanted to give Reagan a very popular president a 3rd term.........Obama is not a popular president. His approval numbers are no way near Reagan's.

just a few facts Bob ignores.

Yes, and I believe "Bob" has an ethnic interest in amnesty. Most Latinos do. It doesn't matter to them how negatively illegal immigration impacts the rest of us.

It's not about my views but our laws and a certain ethnic group that selfishly wants something for themselves that is in direct conflict with those laws and favoring law breaking foreigners over our own citizens.

Where did I say that only white males should be allowed to vote? Talk about tossing out the race card, this is it! I don't care who you are if you are advocating for something that will negatively impact your fellow citizens for some selfish reasons then you are anti-American, IMO. If these were millions of whites flooding our borders illegally I would feel the same way about it. In fact there are whites here illegally also and they shouldn't get amnesty either. I don't put my own race or ethnic group above the best interests of our citizens or our country. But then I don't have a tribal mentality like those who do.

Hellion ignores the fact the GOP has won just 39% of electoral votes in 24 years, and the fact the Blue Wall starts Dems off needing just Va and 1 swing state. As easy as winning when Matt Harvey is pitching for my Mets!

And it has nothing to do with their stance on illegal immigration.

2012 had plenty to do with the GOP worst yet 73-27% Latino trip to the woodshed.

And why do you suppose that is? You mean they dared to respect our immigration laws? Why is that offensive to Latinos? Aren't they obligated just as any other American to respect them and expect them to be enforced or are they special and exempt from them?

It is because Latinos disagreed with the GOP stance, and in a democracy, they properly voiced their opinion loud and clear where it mattered.

Latinos are not obligated to get your blessing for THEIR votes.

Effective immigration policy? What would that be? Allowing everyone to come that wants to come here and in particular anyone from south of our border? WTH? Latinos already enjoy the highest quotas by far for legal immigration into our country and that doesn't even include their numerous family reunifications on our soil. What the hell do they want and who do they think they are????

We have immigration laws and quotas already for good reasons. There is no need to change them and go from sane policies to insane ones. We have millions of Americans out of work with depleting resources and we sure don't need to be importing the poor unskilled and uneducated from third world countries who reduce wages and are a tax burden to our society.

There is nothing ridiculous about self-deportations. After all, we are told they are only here for a better life which includes jobs. Why would they stay here if they can't support themselves because e-verify would be in place. There aren't enough employers that would take the chance and hire illegals above or under the table with stiff fines and jail sentences.

There is nothing atrocious, bigoted or racist about the GOP or anyone else wanting our immigration laws respected and enforced. After all it is our own government that implemented them and for good reasons. No, the racist ones in this issue are those who think their ethnic group is above our immigration laws and should be rewarded for breaking them up to an including that it does and will harm our own citizens. Now "that's" true racism! And then they have the nerve to blackmail our politicians for votes so they can get their selfish, anti-American desires.
Excellent post.

I disagree with the last statement though. It seems as though the politicians (dems) have intentionally fanned the flames of illegal immigration for their own gain. This doesn't mean that illegals are in the right, but we have to give blame to those who deserve the blame.

Still spinning around? It's not about them voting. In fact only congress can vote on immigration not the American public. Our government implemented immigration laws. Latinos nor anyone else has the right to demand we don't enforce our laws. It's not a GOP stance. It is the law!!! Why do they think their ethnic group should get a pass on them? Why do they want something that isn't in the best interest of this country nor our citizens as a whole? You won't answer those questions though, will you?
