I actually disagree with that assessment. I believe with a good quality candidate I believe the Republicans can win the 2016 Presidential Election. Cruz, nope he is not qualified because he simply turns off so many voters, he could not even win the GOP Primaries no less the actual election, Mr. Green Eggs and Ham will never be President and has risen as high as he will ever go.
Then who?, what living Republican- declared or undeclared- can vanquish Mrs. Clinton or whatever other Democrat is nominated?
(a hundred pardons if you already mentioned the name)

A ticket with Bush/Rubio and John Kasich. Best chance for winning Florida and Ohio, both of which you have to have, and best chance of reducing the Dems Hispanic voter margin.

Even if the GOP were to win both Florida and Ohio, it wouldn't be enough.
For a victory, a broader strategy would have to be engaged.
PS, the poster I was responding to already specifically said "no" to Bush as a loser he wouldn't vote for.
Hillary Clinton will be the next President.
Here is an electoral map of my prediction, it adds up
to 330 Electoral College votes, with only 270 needed.
Thus, you could subtract 50 from this and she still wins.
It's over.
No way ANY democrat takes Utah,Arizona,Louisiana,Missouri or West Virginia. What's that leave ANY democrat with?
I think the dem candidate will take most swing states BUT if the republican candidate selects a swing state governor, senator, congressman such as Kasich from Ohio I think the GOP has a nice chance. Give the dems Pennsylvania,Virginia,Colorado,Iowa,Wisconsin etc they STILL lose without Ohio....wait I think I am forgetting Florida....whew its gonna be tough....Democrats take Florida even without Ohio they can barely pull it off....meh whatever...

The Dems can win without Florida and Ohio. The Republicans can't without flipping Blue Wall states that haven't voted for a Republican since 1988.

W won by carrying CO, NM, IA, MO, NC and VA, in addition to OH IN and FL.
Wouldn't that be enough today?
