Sorry Carli Fiorina, but Nikki is now in pole position for VP.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The last Republican governor who took on the Confederate flag in South Carolina lost his job. Nikki Haley may get a promotion.
Haley’s decisive action to drive the final removal of the banner from statehouse grounds quickly and relatively cleanly in the glare of the national spotlight proved a well-timed audition for higher office ahead of the 2016 Republican veepstakes. The fact that the issue at hand aligned perfectly with Haley’s brand — a squeaky-clean, pro-business image that transcends her party’s gender and ethnic liabilities — only helps.

“Nikki showed leadership in this instance, and she represents a new Republican face in the South,” said strategist Steve Schmidt, who managed John McCain’s 2008 presidential bid. “She speaks to the growing diversity of Republican elected officials in executive office, and she’s been a very effective governor in the state of South Carolina, and certainly, she’s going to be a person given serious consideration.”
Gov. Haley certainly seems to be in good shape, the people of South Carolina like her.
But the attempts of some liberals to keep using her very ethnic name to make it seem as she isn't "one of us" or a "true American" is sort of underhanded. Everyone knows the woman's ancestors come from the subcontinent, no need to feed into the prejudice of people by trying to point it out every step of the way
She would be a great VP choice, aside from her state being a reliably red state. If Jeb or Rubio do not get nominated, they will go for someone from Florida. Obviously, they do not have to pick someone from a battleground state, but I think they will. Again, Haley would be a solid choice, but she would not put any battleground state into play.

Kind of like conservatives using President Obamas birth name of Barack Hussein Obama.

Its retaliation(making a point and showing right wing hypocrisy ) for doing the same thing to Barack Obama for the last 9 years . I highly doubt anyone actually cares.
Somehow the Republicans get all the attractive dames- Haley, Palin, Bachmann, Meagan Kelley.
Contrast with the Democrats who have Mrs. Clinton, Bella Abzug, Helen Thomas and Sophie Masloff.
There is no contrast, there are 90 female Democrats currently in congress, and yet, 2 of your example are dead.
You couldnt think of any living Democrats to make your point ? Or are you one of those Conservative persons just here to attack Democrats and have no other objective ?
I can't see it. The Republican nominee will win South Carolina anyways. The Confederate flag and her ridiculous flip flop on it will cost votes if anything.
