I'm going to lay it out there - while the Trump reality show-- uh, I mean 'campaign'-- is a fascinating political phenomenon (much like a horrific car wreck from which one just cannot turn away), the reality is that he is not going to get any support from the actual Republican voters who trudge out into the Iowa cold and the New Hampshire slop to vote in caucuses and primaries.

None. Not a single one. He's not going to win a single primary or caucus.

But I'm interested in seeing who is eschewing the Trump-flavored Kool-Aid altogether, who is sipping it, who is taking a few hearty swigs, and who is chugging it straight from the pitcher.

I think he's likely to explode before the primaries begin. He's a ticking time bomb who appeals to an angry segment of the Republican base, but probably has little chance to expand on that base and actually go very far. I don't think his past record and thin skin will be able to withstand close scrutiny.

I hope so ... I am still not convinced that this isent some sort of DNC troll attempt.

I voted 1-5 to err on the side of caution. There are alot of bigots and nativists in the GOP base swallowing up Trump's demagoguery.

He'll drop out of the GOP race well before the caucuses and primaries.

However, he may run as a third party candidate next year.

I'm afraid that you're right on the latter if he can make it that far. Still, I voted that there'll be a pre-primary season implosion that will prove too much even for the crazies. I think it's reasonably likely and I can hope/pray.

I think he will win a few unless he loses in NH.then he may think of hanging it up and even consider running as an independent. The novelty will die down before the primaries I have a feeling. In fact I would guess by the early fall he will be a name not talked about constantly.

WIHS2006: there are a heck of a lot more bigots in the Dem party than the Republican!!!
