Nope, too late now to put the cat back in the bag, even if he was assassinated tomorrow!

Remember back in the 20's, 30's, you had to be very careful about revealing to someone you were a socialist, as J. Edgar Hoover might be listening!

Bernie has put Socialism on the table now, with pride, and did I read this correctly, that in a recent Gallup poll, 47% of Americans are now in favor of Socialism? Was that a typo?

What he has achieved is he's now liberated any number of potential political candidates, whether it be for Governor, Mayor, state legislatures, to come out of the closet, so to speak, and proudly announce he/she is running as a Socialist! And I foresee more Bernie Sanders type of characters running for office before long, as a result of this.

What do you think? Will we ever get the cat back in the bag now?

No, we are not there yet. We are Venezuela in the making. That's what income inequality breeds, socialism. I expect also home ownership rates to keep falling, more homelessness, more criminal activity, Americans spending most of their salaries in rent and food. More government programs since many people will not be able to pay their rents. More apartment buildings, more rural people moving to the big cities to find a job.

I have no hope. Then one day, probably in a decade or two, we will elect a Chavez who will start seizing private property.

And if, if, if Bernie Sanders comes closer to the finishing line, I can see the TV ads run by his opponents!
Can't you?

Every single TV ad featuring the worst form of socialism: Venezuela!

Omitted will be the socialist success stories of Ecuador, Bolivia and others!

The really fascinating thing is that some people don't comprehend that social democrat is NOT socialist. Similar, but not the same thing at all.

But they will use the rallying cry of "OMG Socialism!" because they cannot comprehend that there might be a better way of doing things.

Universal healthcare would be an example, the rest of the world spends less then we do for comparable results.....but somehow fixing our healthcare system that way is too "socialist".

That is true, it is sad that we have so many elderly, handicap, students, and military utilizing welfare programs in this country. It must really grind your gears when you see any one of those groups of people knowing they are just mooching off your tax dollars.

There's that 47% statistic again. Curious that it's exactly equal to the percentage of government dependents, isn't it?

And it is also the exact percentage Romney got in the popular vote. What a coincidence.

Are we finally going to pay, the overdue debts, for the sins of our Father's? Is this what its really all about?

I'm just reading about a book on the underclass, what all went on after the Civil War, the employment conditions in the south, like the phosphate mining in Florida.

The debts have come due?
