DC is like the Dante's description of the gates of hell, 'All hope abandon ye who enter here'. Obama knew as a Washington "insider" and found government to be recalcitrant, a business CEO with no experience in government will find it utterly immovable and unfathomable.

I love how nobody bothered to notice that neither of the two times mentioned in the linked articles was eminent domain used, and both projects were canceled.

No matter who is involved in projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars, eminent domain would be considered is it became necessary.

It's the thought that counts...

Uh...no we don't.

I was among the first to detail his liberal leanings when he first announced his candidacy. Don't assume Conservatives and Libertarians are ignorant and need to be enlightened by the left; we aren't, and we don't.

If his immigration policy (probably the one he won't be able to enact) gets him elected, and he "reverts" to his Liberal stand on many others, so be it. That's what the left doesn't get: Conservatives have already gotten the shaft from not only RINOs and RIWs (RINOs-In-Waiting), but also phonies calling themselves Conservatives. So if a Trump election wakes up the establishment fossils, good.

But, again, we're all thrilled that the left want Republicans to be sure their nominee is a true Conservative.

Eminent domain is a liberal idea? It's enshrined in the constitution and neither liberal or conservative. It's about acquiring private property for public use. That's an acknowledgement that government must function.

A REAL Conservative would denounce eminent domain abuse as an overreach of the government. Trump embraces it.

Just watched "You've Been Trumped," which was actually shown on tv, but is also available through streaming.

It is a documentary detailing how Trump went into Scotland and decimated a beautiful ecosystem, destroyed land, destroyed lives and attempted to have people removed from homes and land they have owned and/or farmed for generations so that he could develop the property with a massive golf resort, hotels, time shares, etc.

This film needs to be shown and promoted all over this country so that people can see who 'The Real Donald Trump' truly is. Watching how these ranchers, fisherman and farmers were treated and their livelihoods destroyed by Trump's quest to develop land into more golf courses was appalling.

We know he's a narcissist, but his actions during this 'business deal/quest for land' shows quite plainly just how little he cares about people--the only person he cares about is himself. He is a huckster with no respect for anyone--a disgusting excuse of a human being.

His lies regarding promises of jobs and preserving the beauty and environment of the Scottish coast were out there for everyone to see. A truly despicable person.
