Powell lost a lot of respect during his appearance at the UN to sell the Iraq war. He knew the intel wasn't all it should be. He had to be "convinced". His integrity was pretty shoddy after that. Before that point, I would have supported him all the way to the White House.
Sure. Powell looks good. But you have to have political moves in order to run even a statewide campaign. There's no evidence he can do that. Plus, his wife will not let him enter politics and his son is a nut.
Did you remember ol' Colin voice his support for affirmative action at the GOP convention?

True, but he really was the fall guy for Bush. Despite his shortcomings in Iraq I think people would warm up to him again.
He has hinted recently that he would consider a post on the New White House Team once a President is chosen. If I were an advisor I would stongly advise any President to employ him somewhere.

Even after he has admitted his mistake and that he was wrong, I couldn't trust him. His failure to do the right thing has cost this country dearly.

as opposed to Hillary? Or any of the Dems that voted for the war? Same story but the dems cry the loudest even though they were all for it. Colin at least admitted his mistakes. Those like Hillary continue to make excuses and think up lies.
Colin gets this white conservatives vote anytime over anyone else running.
