If that happens, Trump will run as an independent, and either cause Republicans to lose or he will win the presidency himself.

Yes, my motto "Hillary? Anyone else!"

I suspect Hillary has enough on Obama that he wouldn't dare mess with her. She gets off no matter what but will the people let her off and give her their vote? I'm thinking she'll be tried in the court of public opinion and lose.

Default Jim Gilmore: "Donald Trump is not a serious candidate"

Sez the guy whose poll numbers don't even register.

Of course, it could be one of those "it takes one to know one" situations.

I like Trump's presence in the Pub campaign, but I still feel the GOP is working fervently behind the scenes to come up with some way to derail him.

It's very entertaining, though.

Jim is probably the best choice, but he really is not running a strong election. Not sure if because field is to heavy, not enough fund's to run a strong campaign, or both. I think he is waiting till the field thins out and will come out like a wrecking ball.

That's funny. Trump is a Republican Party "unexploded" Bomb. They don't want him among them, but if they tamper with him, he goes off and blows their chance at the Presidency. So far he is the one with enough "Voters" to blow the Republican Party out of the Race, if they move him off the path, and he takes his votes with him.

The Democrats will be the same as if they where unopposed in the elections. Bet they never saw that coming. Looks like the GOP choice, right now, is Trump or Hillary.

This is what Rush Limbaugh calls the "low information voter" - Trump supporters, no doubt. Didn't have the faintest who Gilmore was, what he's accomplished, that he was even running. Why? Because Faux News never had him on O'Reilly.

That's the first time I've ever seen anyone call me a Trump supporter. Adorable! Here's some reading.

Gilmore's polling in the neighborhood of 1%, and has been ever since he announced his presidential run a few months back. Even those who hate Trump have no idea who Gilmore is. Even home-state Virginian Republicans aren't exactly embracing the idea of a Gilmore nomination: among registered voters, Jim Gilmore is polling at 2%. Among likely primary voters, 1%. A lot of Gilmore's polling is the same: 1%. 0%. 0.5%. Every now and then he'll reach 2%.

I can only guess that he's polling maybe 1% on average nationwide. I can only guess because sites like RealClearPolitics don't even list Gilmore as a candidate on their aggregate polling sheets.

So yes, "Jim Who?" does sum a lot up about Jim Gilmore's run right now. He's a lot like Lincoln Chafee and Jim Webb: candidates who were in the running but continually had low, low, low poll numbers. At least Jim Gilmore is hanging on for...what exactly? Jim Gilmore has political chops, but political chops are only so valuable in a primary if voters know who you are.

But hey, all is well, because I'm some wholehearted "Trump supporter" and take Fox News and Bill O'Reilly as gospel.

Then I'm really surprised that you don't know who the candidates up for election are. I attribute the lack of insight to Trump's sheep who want a reality TV star as our next POTUS.
