Missed this one just being reported on yesterday.

Baltimore Sun/UB Maryland State Poll

Carson 27%
Trump 23%
Rubio 16%
Cruz 10%
Kasich 4%
Christie 3%
Fiorina 3%
Bush 3%

Everyone else less than 3%

Carson leads among Republican candidates - Baltimore Sun

Poll: Carson edges Trump in Maryland | Washington Examiner

I would mention the "power rankings" ("experts" weigh in on candidate to beat) but even though my candidate is on top, when have those guys been right about anything this election cycle?

Not surprising since Carson spent most of his adult life at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Had he not moved to Florida when he retired, he would be a shoe in to take the US Senate from Maryland this time around.

MD is a nonfactor in the election, primary or otherwise.

No he wouldn't. I would like to think that Maryland is smarter than that.

And what would make him a bad senator? Being President is one thing, being a senator is another. I would not support him for President unless I had no choice, but I can see people voting for him to be a senator.

I am not so sure about the “shoe in” part.

How well do you think his hyper-religious views would fit in Maryland? Especially in a higher turnout Presidential year??

his habit of lying on a regular basis? His weird religious nuttery? His complete ignorance of pretty much every single issue of any relevance to American government?

Maryland elected MOM twice, and Obama twice, so I think the intelligence of the Maryland electorate is vastly overestimated.

Maryland's primary is relatively late in April.

Carson will be out of the race by then as his campaign will die in the Carolinas.
