So, a substantial number of leaders in the black community are apparently going to endorse Donald Trump on Monday.

So, if supporters of Trump are racist, then these guys must be too, right?

From the New York Times:

Quote:
Black Pastors Expected to Endorse Donald Trump

Donald J. Trump will take the next step in his religious outreach effort next week when he announces the endorsement of a group of 100 African-American pastors and religious leaders at his Manhattan headquarters.

The Republican presidential candidate has a private meeting with the group scheduled on Monday before they make their offer of support official, according to his campaign.

“I was looking for some subtle hints of racism,” Mr. Scott said. “I didn’t see it at all.”

Wow, what did he promise them? I don't understand why any Republican pol would seek black votes...not enough combined with the unlikelihood they will vote Repub. Repubs need to focus their efforts on Hispanics, Asians, and female voters.

It will be interesting to see if it still happens. Then check out their churches and see if Trump bought them.

Maybe they simply seek to find something better than what's on the Democrat Plantation that so many have chained themselves to over the past years.

Jobs being sent overseas, banksters enabled to take their homes, preditory loan practices, endless war, etc does no good for anyone.

I'm sure that everyone, regardless of race, would prefer to have opportunity instead of handouts.

Actually, you have that backwards.

Republicans do desire black votes, but are not willing to promise special handouts and free stuff in order to get them. Instead, what they promise them is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, with the same rights and privileges as everyone else. Apparently the Republicans unwillingness to treat black people like they are incapable of succeeding in our society without promises (promises not delivered on by Democrats) of special treatment based on their skin color is not well received by many of these people.

So, unfortunately that does mean that black citizens will be less likely to vote Republican. And the Republicans will turn their attention elsewhere, because of the lack of receptiveness to their campaigns by most of the black community.

I don't have it backwards, I know that Repubs believe in equality which is why they freed the blacks but now don't give them special (racist) treatment for their votes like Dems do. Dems kept blacks as slaves, favored Jim Crow, and now favor legal discrimination for blacks because they don't believe blacks will ever be able to compete against whites and asians so they have to be given special advantages and take care of them forever.
