Is this about the 5 Jewish guys that were taking pictures and celebrating 9/11 in New Jersey, or a different one? Perhaps these Jewish guys were spotted and thought to be Muslim?

The information that I remember was of about five men seen from behind looking across the river at the twin towers and rejoicing. They were said to be Israelis. They would obviously be happy because now the US would go to war against Arabs. I’ve read that Israelis had some inkling that an attack was imminent, and that US intelligence did also, “Their hair was on fire”, but that the administration ignored US intelligence. For example, of course, Bush thought it would be racist to profile Arabs.

Rught.

How did Trump "see" this as he claimed from his midtown apartment?

What else has Trump been rught about?

Maybe I missed it, but how does this:

"In a new examination by NJ Advance Media, a police officer who worked on 9/11 and residents on the outskirts of Journal Square say they witnessed small pockets of people celebrating before the groups dispersed or were broken up by authorities."

equate to the "thousands and thousands" Trump claims to have seen?

Seems to me your own link disproves your thread.

I'm guessing he remembers the articles and news about the 5 Jewish guys I noted above, and in the interim 14 years, the memory shifted to Muslims and there were more than 5 of them. He might be confusing the 5 Jewish Intelligence agents celebrating 9/11 with the CNN footage of the Palestinians (about 15 or so in the frame that I remember) shown dancing in their streets celebrating 9/11. He's mixing two distinct and memorable events and morphing them into a singular dog whistle talking point.

This is what makes Trump so unique. For over 15 years they have swept this under the rug. Bush takes his shoes off and goes to the mosque instead of prodding their leaders to condemn rooftop celebrations. Forget about whether they were "thousands and thousands". The fact that they happened in numbers that attracted the police is what matters.

People have added up the "small groups" in the comments and it is easily over 1000. That's also considering that the source of the article is left of ralph nader and still supports Trump's claim.

Very cute. Try this. Did Trump "see" or "watch"? How many nautical miles between Trump Tower and the said rooftops and would the physics of light propagation allow Trump to see the rooftops?

Riiight.

Probably the same people that believe that Christie didn't know anything about the George Washington Bridge closure either.
