I hate Trump and think he's an idiot who couldn't tell his rear from the Sarlacc Pit. But one thing I have to give him some respect for, is for being so politically incorrect, unhinged and "I don't give a *Beep*" about everything he is the antidote for what is happening in America. I can't say "yeah, people killed by police when they are innocent is bad, and something needs to be done, but killing cops and smashing neighborhoods is not the answer" without being called "a pawn of white supremacy." And the fact that I am half-black? Inconsequential

I look at a girl's butt when she wears yoga pants in the street, and I am "objectifying" her. (Don't want to be looked at like a piece of meat? Wear more then shrink wrap.)

I say I don't hate Muslims, but this whole Wahhabi/Qutbists Jihad thing is the evil ideology this generation will have to face, and I get called an Islamophobe who "is ignorant about the religion of peace." My degree in Comparative Religion? Doesn't matter, still ignorant cause I don't want to sing Kumbaya with Hamas

A person can't say, do, or think the wrong thing all of a sudden without angering the ultra-liberal authoritarian thought police....and I say this as a pretty socially liberal guy myself.

And then I read about things like this...

Student Protesters -- Cancer Fundraiser 'Microaggression' for Occuring Simultaneous with Protest | National Review Online

I just...I just...

I almost want to vote for Trump if for no other reason then to give the finger to the culture of absurd political correctness that has taken hold of this country. And I think that's a big chunk of his appeal: he is a cultural candidate. It is his unspoken issue that he is running on. People are tired of being told to watch what they say, how they act, and what they think because it may offend someone. And Trump is, even if he doesn't say it out loud, kind of running against that.

And yes, conservatives do sometimes try to shut people up too, but recently, rightwing censors and outraged whiners have all but gone away while the left wing PC police have gotten bigger. You don't hear "concerned Christians" running around trying to ban my porn, my Marlyn Manson, my R-rated movies, etc like you used to. The days of "The People vs Larry Flint", school prayer and the Ten Commandments tattooed on the judge's head are all but done with. Now, it's the only the Social Justice Crusaders you have to worry about, because the Christian religious right censorship crusaders have all but given up.

And Trump is running on this new, flip side of the culture war the political establishment has yet to challenge. He is the only one willing to say "hey, maybe a man should be able to call a cute girl 'honey' and maybe I should be able to make fun of countries I don't like?" And that is why he has so much support.

I don't really want him to be president. He would be a disaster because he doesn't have a clue what he's doing. But as a symbol that says "shut-up, social justice warriors, I don't care if you're offended" he is, I am sad to say, an appealing icon.

He proposes common sense policies that Americans agree with and he doesn't know what hes doing? Should we allow sanctuary cities? Open boarders? Male muslim hordes? Forfeit our jobs? Forfeit our culture? Treat terrorism with kid gloves?

We are becoming an ultra passive, feeble, self helpless society. I think people see Trump, his boldness and at times brashness and think "hes a dumb wrecking ball" when really he just has balls and we aren't used to that anymore (Ralph Peters painted that picture last week). We need more ballsy men who are unafraid to hurt feelings in a society of hyper sensitive children. Trump is a great start to get the ball going in the right direction. Really listen and you hear a smart man with common sense.

I crawled out of my "safe space" to read this thread?

Truly offended.

Have my reparations ready by morning.

No matter how annoying some SJW types might be, Trump actually scares me. There is a difference between being honest and just being a jerk. And a man who admits he doesn't check his sources, I suspect he would conduct himself in the same way when in office. After that fallacious tweet, he actually scares me.

Is this worse than knowingly outright lying?

I don't understand how people watching "South Park," "American Dad" and "The Family Guy" can be so politically correct.

Not to mention seeing "Cops" and still not getting it about the police.

Is this country dumb, or what?

Trump is growing on me - because he calls it like it is. So he admits he doesn't check his sources - neither does Obama - he just reads the teleprompter - if his staff gets something wrong - no worries - he'll send Josh Ernest to explain it away.
