Who says defense lobbyists and evangelists are conservative? Since when have republicans been conservative as a party? They're big spenders.
Conservatives want less government at the Federal level.

Conservatives want government out of the marriage issue altogether.
Abortion issue is about protecting the rights of the individual. That is governments job.

Excuse me?

First, that's utter nonsense. Please cite one high-profile Republican who has proposed that the government stop issuing marriage licenses and nullify all laws related to marriage and spouses.

Second, which party was it that introduced the Defense of Marriage Act?

Fixed, conservatives in particularly religious conservatives do not. Libertarians are what you are thinking of.

The only thing that's utter nonsense is your post. You don't know the difference between a republican and a conservative so why are you commenting?

I said it was a conservative policy not republican. Pay attention next time.
Ron Paul has advocated getting government out of the marriage business.

What part of conservative don't you get? The republican party is every bit the big government freaks that the Democrats are. Just the hand picked winners and losers change. Again conservatives and republicans are two different animals.

Conservative, from the word conserve. It means use less of. Simple enough.

Do I see people calling themselves conservatives like Santorum and Huckabee? I sure do but they are for big government. Why else would they vote to raise the budget 5 times or raise taxes an average of 60 million a year for 10 years? That's not conservative, that's progressive all the way.

I wasn't just talking them, Cruz is a conservative and is against gay marriage and abortion. Don't give me this that conservatives want less government everywhere, they don't. That is libertarian. Don't confuse the two.
