Republicans are not smart to realize that "fiscally conservative, socially moderate" would win every election . . .

Shame.

LOL. They just dig themselves deeper and deeper with every show. Yes it's a show. Like Jerry Springer.
and if I remember correctly Obama told us marriage was between one man and one woman? And yes, life does belong at conception. It may not be sustainable life, but it is life. What else does a beating heart mean? No one is saying they would overturn all the laws to fit their personal opinions. A conservative stands just as much a chance at winning as a progressive.

You find the statements disgusting. That Is a pretty strong word if you ask me. You have pretty much indicated you are to the left. Thus it wouldn't be expected you would support a conservative or even a moderate. That is what makes our country so great: we can all believe and say what we want. I do not take those statements as hate in any way.

I don't think Trumps ducking social issues has anything to do with his appeal, but I do agree with you: these social issues are a done deal, so let's just move on.

John Kasich is the only smart one on these issues. You'll notice he never talks about abortion - yet he has quietly and stealthily signed every single abortion restriction that came across his desk. Ohio has the strictest abortion laws on record. Often passed in the dead of night buried amongst other bills.

Yet he knows that if he wants to win a GE (which he won't) - that he should just keep quiet on those issues for as long as possible.

Socially conservative/liberal....fiscally conservative/liberal....those are the politics of yesterday.

The new politics that is emerging is populism -- meaning Trump and Sanders.

Trump and Sanders both want to end the elites' control of this country, and make sure that ordinary Americans start to prosper. That is what I mean by "populism."

Trump is not socially conservative. His fiscal policy -- unlike the other Republicans' -- is not austerity (cutting social security, etc.) -- instead it is lowering business taxes, eliminating needless regulation, ending the importation of cheap immigrant and illegal immigrant labor, stopping the offshoring of jobs, and renegotiating trade agreements in order to bring jobs back to America, grow the economy, increase the tax base, and then use the increased tax revenue to pay down the debt, fix our infrastructure, and make our military strong again without spending another 15 years trying to "fix" the Middle East. He also wants to increase social security payments and services for veterans. This is a huge endeavor -- and it will take a long time to achieve -- but it makes sense.

Bernie's policy is to tax the rich (which Trump would also do to an extent) in order to reduce income inequality and provide single payer health care and free college. That's all well and good, but what this country needs is good jobs and a growing economy, not wealth redistribution in a stagnant economy. Free health care and college don't help you if you don't have a job, or only have a job that pays little.

Vote for the regular, non-populist candidates and you'll get....

More wars we don't win....disappearing middle and working class....more income inequality....austerity for seniors....increased regressive taxes on the middle and working class....increasing social conflict because of open borders and the flood of cheap foreign labor...more offshoring of good jobs....American workers competing with foreign workers who can make a good living on much lower pay.

Its been replaced by a country with a bunch of idiotic, clueless and classless apes with no morals, respect for one another or values and one who could really use some Jesus and the bible in their pathetic lives.

What's disgusting is that those statement are considered extreme. Marriage was around for a long time and was doing fairly well until its definition was changed. Just because a term or concept has been around for a long time does not mean it needs redefining. If words have no meaning, then neither does language.
