Build a wall......how long do you think it will take Mexico to nationalize the US businesses that migrated south? Freightliner and Cummins QC went out the door when the companies
companies went there. Countless others too I'm sure.

Tax the exports that come here from Mexico......how long will it take for goods and services to increase from that taxation? How much will Americans pay for Oreos and Twinkies?

There's much more to be discussed about the border and illegal immigration.

I think the dried up Cheeto with a lint wig's new campaign slogan should be "Trump - Simple answers for simple people"

No technical problem so complex it can't be hand-waved out of existence with a vague allusion.

Ever heard of tunnel sensors?

Nonsense. The Secure Fence Act funded 750 miles of fence covering the most critical, high traffic areas. Most other areas are unsafe to cross for various reasons. This would have stopped 80-90 percent of illegal crossings.

Thirty miles of this fence were built and then it was defunded by Democrats.

The wall requires many times the concrete and steel than to construct the Hoover Dam, as the article stated. I don't know about the Panama Canal. My understanding from H.S. History was the largest problem was Malaria and digging the trench. But this isn't my field of expertise.
You don't need (or even want) a concrete wall. Chain link fence with barbed wire will do the job and you'll be able to see anyone approaching the fence. It's been done many times before and it works. And it's relatively cheap.

We sent men to walk on the moon in 1969. Don't tell me we don't have the ability to create a barrier to keep people out. We have the technology. What's lacking is political will.

700 miles of double wall was already approved by congress but not funded (go figure). That's exactly where it was to be built on the most porous areas of our southern border. The Border Patrol can take care of the rest along with high tech surveillance. A physical barrier would help them do their jobs more efficiently. Trump will realize that this is the best option but we both know that the illegal alien sympathizers and defenders would b*tch about that also.

Where U.S.-Mexico border fence is tall, it works
