The latino vote was the largest switch leading up to the nevada vote. Sanders was down by as much as 50 points but with the latino vote not only reversed that but beat hillary by 8 points.
Remember with barely 10k voters, the number of switching latino vote didn't take a lot to get Sanders to win the Latino and youth vote.
Bernie is really getting legitimate consideration with most democratic voters.
Because unlike the vast majority of the Black vote, Latinos have minds of their own and don't vote with 90% going one way or the other. They tend to be more independent and vote like they want to, not like the democratic party tells them they should. Democrats hate that about Hispanics but they'll never admit it.

IMHO it's because Hispanic culture IS very much like Italian culture and; neither group will "lock step" with their "leaders", unlike the Black vote. Too; IMHO more and more Americans of Hispanic family DON'T want to be tossed in with illegal aliens for many legit reasons.
Because she didn't. Entrance polling of a couple of hundred Latino voters just got it wrong. Hillary won by large margins (10 points or more) in areas with large Latino populations. The numbers just don't add up to say that she lost the Latino vote.

What really happened? We might not ever know for sure. But if you look at the possible scenarios — and at the entrance and exit polls' record with Latinos — the most plausible conclusion is that the entrance polls didn't correctly predict Nevada's Latino vote.

Two factors: history (race/ethnic relations) and social media.
Latinos have a different history in the US than blacks. Latinos didn't have leaders because they felt partially or totally responsible for their own fate. Latinos and their ancestors were not brought here against their will and slaved. Most Latinos (and immigrants in general) came here as unwanted guests. Latinos did not assemble in masses because they felt it was their choice, their fault. Blacks organized and created a system of leadership that its still in place.
Democrats have heavily relied on Spanish TV and press to control politics. I watched personally how Univision and Telemundo never mentioned Sanders by name. Hillary of course was mentioned over and over . Telemundo(owned by NBC) blurred out Sanders name when they showed the tweet Neil young sent to Trump asking him to stop playing his song and stating he supports Sanders.
Republicans decided that pandering to conservatives was smarter because they were a much larger group. Both parties control the media and promote their candidates. However they can't control the Internet, yet....I'm sure they are working on that.

Uh; "Latino" ain't a race.
50 years ago a nasty white supremacist named Leander Perez was tight with Bull Connor and George Wallace. IF Mr Perez was alive in 2016; he'd be lumped in with Mexicans and so on since he was of Spanish heritage tho he was def "white" by race.
So, are y'all going to just ignore the fact that the exit polls were wrong and Bernie didn't actually win the Latino vote? LOL
BTW, this thread is a great example of why republicans have such a hard time getting black people to vote for them. SMH.
