Think his election result would turn more Goldwaterish than Reaganish.
Somewhere in between. The social conservatives will hold their noses and vote for Trump and he will have cross over appeal like Reagan. It will be a nail biter like Bush/Gore.

Trump does not have cross over appeal. He is certainly closer to Goldwater than Reagan in a general election map, except that I don't think the deep south will go for democrats anymore (although Bill did win Arkansas and Louisiana, so maybe Trump really would be Goldwater-ish).

Sorry, but that ship has sailed. We conservative fell in line the last couple elections (fewer each time). This time, there will be no cajoling of the true conservative base of the GOP. Nominee Trump is on his own in the General, and he better hope that his base can bring in the votes. I don't see any way that Trump can win without the conservative base. Time will tell, but don't blame us true conservatives for a "President Trump." Cause we are sitting this one out.

There is strong hatred for the Clinton's and the stop Hillary at all cost will bring the social conservatives out. Plus the SC issue could be raging and they will think about do they want Hillary picking the nominee? I say they say no and show up and hold their noses and vote for Trump. If it is Bernie his democratic socialism message will scare them to the booth considering polls show Bernie could beat Trump in a head to head match up. If the polls in Nov look close they will think they are doing their patriotic duty and vote for Trump.
Plus it looks like Trump is getting some social conservative vote and of course it could come down to who he picks for VP. I hope he does not pick that {R} talking point air head Palin to appease them, noticed she endorsed Trump and disappeared out of sight.

It's not hatred, it is disagreement and disapproval.
Agreed. This was how 2012 went down and this is pretty much how the 2016 map would look too. Trump losing badly, even if you gave him OH.
