I've notices that Trump supporters tend to respond to non-Trump supporters using the same tactics used by progressives. Proving that their idea of "dishing it out" means using Alinskyite tactics and dragging the level of discussion down to a playground level, name calling snark fest.

I completely agree with this sentiment. I disagree on who is the best candidate to change this situation, but I certainly agree that the issues you list are the key issues that are dragging this country into the dustbin of history.

if Trump is not the nominee, Trump Supporters are not going to show up in the general.

so the losers of the GOP primary better walk it off and get over it and support whoever wins the nomination.

if cry babies want to stay home because their guy lost the primary then they are idiots.
Yup, and if Trump IS the nominee, conservatives and libertarians will "stay home" or vote 3rd party. Looks like Hillary is headed to the WH when she should be headed to the Big House.

I agree that Ted Cruz is the true conservative here. Jenny Beth Martin at Tea Party Patriots have endorsed him and wrote an op-ed in the Washington Times talking about the dirty tricks used against him are part of politics, but that Ted Cruz is the one who stood with them when it was unprofitable for him to do so. That is honest dedication on display.

Agreed. Cruz is just like Rand Paul. They have the principled viewpoint, but not the charisma needed to "wow" today's voters.

That is what Reagan had. Both the conservative principles and the ability to connect with the voters and engage them.

My feeling is that I don't really need to feel like I can have a beer with the President, but I DO need to feel like I can trust him to state what he will do and do what he says. I feel like a President needs to have FIRM and SOLID principles, whether conservative or progressive. That is the appeal of Bernie, he is an unabashed democratic socialist and so he will do what he says he wants to do.

It is such a tragedy that today's citizen has become so superficial and uninformed that they determine who will lead this country based on how someone looks or talks instead of the ideas and policies.

Thanks for posting this. Everyone who slams Cruz with "Cruz is all about Cruz" are ridiculous. NO ego driven politician would take the political heat and the animosity of their own party to stand on principles and keep the campaign promises he made. As a result of his willingness to stand up for his constituents, Cruz has faced public name calling from his own party and he has risked advancing by cozying up to the establishment like most other newbies to congress do. Look at Rubio to see how that works. He promised his constituents that he would fight against Amnesty in DC, yet right after he gets there, he joins the Gang of 8 to pass Amnesty and now has the establishment backing for President.

BINGO! Ted Cruz has risked political capital to stand for what is right for the American people.

What is most important, he started out that way when he was young and even so in High School - "During high school, Cruz participated in a Houston-based group known at the time as the Free Market Education Foundation, a program that taught high school students the philosophies of economists such as Milton Friedman and Frédéric Bastiat."

He has never changed. Everyone has criticized politicians who change when they get to DC. This man hasn't and they don't want him either. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

My problem with Trump supporters is that they are following in the footsteps of Obama supporters. I have not demeaned their race, religion, education or ethnicity and your attempt to "put me in my place" by making false allegations will not work.

This statement is tantamount to an "I'm rubber, your glue" level of discourse. If that is the level of discussion a Trump supporter wishes to engage in, count me out.
Are you in la la land? You have GOT to be kidding me. How about the first page on here, ffs:

People who are voting for Trump want an "Obama" of their own to support. IMO Trump supporters are not principled conservatives. They don't want real conservatism, they want a bully they can stand behind and feel superior to others as a result.

The Cruz candidacy is an opportunity to push back on the destruction of the Constitution. The Trump candidacy is the opportunity to further shred it.
That's a slanderous statement, child. You picked "with regard to religion" because you know damn good and well that you have most certainly been bigoted, slanderous, and condescending. You're going to try to hide behind "religion" which was only ONE PART of your whiny post.

No, this isn't "I'm rubber and you're glue", (how old are you? Four?), this is you throwing out insults left and right about Trump supporters, but the second that someone makes a blanket statement about Cruz supporters, you wet your pants in front of everyone. This is you being a hypocrite. No wonder you support Cruz. He lies, he's a hypocrite...you fit right in.

Why are Liberals and their media so obsessed with telling everyone how Trump isn't a Conservative? Why do they even care, and what scares them about a Trump-Clinton match?

I think we know.
