Very interesting and probably true. I like their comment about Cruz who is the man that will REALLY change things in Washington.

Oh, I doubt it.

Even if Trump is elected, his main achievement will most likely be construction of a wall (I really believe he wants to do it, but mostly as a monument to himself) and, yes, an end to, or at least much more control over, illegal immigration on US soil.

A slowdown in the pace of globalization compared to the past 25-30 years is already in the cards anyway. The original idea was that wages among average people throughout the world, including the countries of early industrialization, should equalize, but it has proven to be a race toward the bottom, not upwards, but downwards, for everybody, so even the global rulemakers are beginning to realize that the race has run off course as revenue growth of global corporations has slowed since 2008.

So no revolution, just an adjustment of course, with a little more respect for national boundaries and differences.

The Donald would be a fun guy as this adjustment takes place over the next 4-30 years (won't matter who's president after the next 4-8).

If any revolution of sorts, I would like to see the complete historical demise of the republican party or at least a transformation from one that focuses, fruitlessly, on emotional social issues, which are no social issue at all but personal ones, and that refocuses sharply on practical economic and Constitutional issues, the main benefit of which is to keep human beings safe from one another.

But I dream.

Good Luck!
