They can either win with Trump or lose with anyone else. It will be interesting to see what they decide.

If McConnell decides on losing there are a lot of other (R) that will need to also pack their bags.

I don't think they care. They would rather fall on their sword and let Hillary win than have Trump represent their brand or take the party down, which is how they see this.

That is mainly lies told by the establishment republicans who want the party to continue to bow down to special interests in the military department and Trade packs signed off by the Koch Bros. Trump himself has said he will act very professional and the proof is in who he has acted through out his entire career, he knows exactly what he's doing for the current campaign.

I'm reading versions of this on a variety of media sites.

Who says Dexter is afraid? It's the Republicans who are afraid. THEY are the ones who fear Trump will destroy their party forever. At this point, I think they would do anything to keep him out of the presidency.

What about you? I thought you were for Bernie all the way?

The 8 GOP senators and 247 GOP house members whose terms will expire in 2018 would rather see Clinton elected than Trump.

Because after all, that's what it's all about. Them.

LOL

So Trump acts like a buffoon now because it is only for votes (which is another entire sad subject on its own that one not only feels the need to do that but actually is successful with it, it says a lot about us as a society) but promises to behave like a professional later on if he should get into office. I'm starting to actually lean towards the idea that perhaps we deserve what we get if the majority of us really are that naive.....

Concerned about his tweets aren't 'lies told by the establishment". His tweets go viral the minute he third grade bullies someone via twitter. And doesn't stop.

Trump says he will 'act' very professional? I'm not buying his words; I'm looking at what he is doing right now. As Max Lucado said - he doesn't pass the basic decency test in words and action.

IF he has to act like a childish moron for 'his current campaign' what does that say about his voters??

You expect us to believe the guy who has said all the racist, sexist, hateful, childish, megalomaniacal and purely stupid things he has said over the past 25 years in the media, on his Twitter and even on the campaign trail is all the sudden going to flip a switch and become a man of respect, morals and character on Jan 20 2017? Wow, he REALLY has his followers fooled. Besides, a REAL man, especially one running for POTUS shouldn't have to say he's capable of acting professional and with dignity, he should be doing that from the start.

You can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear.

What you see is what you get with Trump, at least with style and personal characteristics. Who the heck knows on policy. For those voters just interested in giving the middle finger to the establishment, they think it's a positive. But for others, just the thought of that bloviating blowhard in the Oval Office is a bad joke. I fall into the second catgory. We'll see.
