Yes, there's obviously more to the story. My hunch is that she was the voice for Sanders on the committee and after the SC blowout she realized she could longer do him any good in that role, it was pointless for her to stay on. She's throwing in the towel.

As a veteran, Gabbard understands more than anyone the dangers of constant warfare, and allowing our military to be used and abused by corrupt politicians.
Although I don't think this a particularly important endorsement, I'm happy when anyone sees the light concerning the corrupt power structure in The Democratic Party. With that said, Gabbard does deserve respect for acting on her conscience, particularly at a time when mainstream pundits have already written Sanders off.
I think the only big endorsement Sanders could get at this stage is that of Elizabeth Warren, and I'm not sure that Warren wants to risk her political career by alienating Hillary Clinton and The Democratic Party.

Warren remains the only female Senator to not endorse Hillary, so I still feel she has something up her sleeve.
Im going to say she grew tired of Wasserman picking out the curtains and carpet in her new office as part of Hillary's cabinet. She though it was unethical that Wasserman is doing everything she can behind the scenes to sabotage Bernie
