I get that. But I'm curious about those people who often ARE interested in how other people live their lives and make decisions based on that type of issue.

Hey, conservatives don't care how others live their lives, except of course they care and want to interfere with those who'd like to manage their own pregnancy, or those whose sexual orientation they find unacceptable, or those who'd like to smoke a naturally occurring weed, or those whose religion they find unacceptable, or those whose $$$ they want to funnel to the MIC, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera............................................ ...............................
Yeah, I wonder who it is we SHOULD be supporting instead.
And if you have paid attention Cruz is pulling WAY more evangelical support.

I would expect Cruz to pull the evangelical support because his personal life and actions are much more in line with traditional thinking than Trump's are.
And I'm guessing that's what lots of EC's are doing--holding their noses and hoping for the best. Just wanted to hear from some.
If you identify yourself as a conservative or evangelical Christian and support Trump, how do you reconcile your beliefs with his lifestyle and stated beliefs?
He has been married 3 times.
He's made a ton of money off of casinos which feature gambling, drinking and prostitution.
He uses profanity.
He's not a church-goer.
He lies.
In the past he has declared himself to be pro-choice and only recently said he had a change of heart and became pro-life.
It seems like in the past, conservative or evangelical Christians didn't support candidates who did not at least pay lip service to traditional Christian beliefs. That does not seem to be a concern these days and I'm wondering why.
Do you have a candidate that meets the standards that you name? Obviously not a Democrat. Obviously not Cruz since he has been lying and cheating trying to win the nomination. Rubio wouldn't be a match and Kasich is finished. Now, Carson is a good match but doesn't have a chance.
Carson is the most moral beyond a shadow of a doubt. He is aware of how a Christian should act and threat other people.
You are aware of the "cast the first stone", right? Also, "forgiveness" and the fact that we aren't trying to elect a religious leader but a POTUS to represent ALL people.

I'm a conservative and like Trumps wording of common sense conservative. I'm not a Christian and don't care if he get 10 divorces as long as he doesn't beat his wife and is a good human being. Maybe the wife wants a divorce or maybe him...I don't care as long as they mutual get to an agreement.
I never heard of official casino's having prostitution but frankly I don't care about prostitution either as long as it is out of free will and maybe as in Holland that the hookers pay taxes.
To me anyone using a prostitute should be an adult and mutual agreement and what they do is between the 2 of them and not an issue to me.
Cruz lied, Rubio is a bigger liar and frankly I don't know of any Christian that never once said 1 lie!
In my profession when a person mentioned "G_D" in the first meeting when it comes to renting a place we see it as a red flag as we have plenty of previous experiences that the people who claim to be good Christians are not the best people as good Christians don't bring it up all the time.
Btw you post is very negative and I thought good Christian conservatives are positive people.

Why does everyone have such big chips on their shoulders?
I don't identify as a conservative or evangelical Christian. I'm a Bernie supporter.
It just seems strange to me that someone who espouses traditional Christian values could also be a Trump supporter because I see a conflict between the two. But there seem to be a fair number of them and I'm wondering if they're "holding their noses," as mentioned above, or if in the context of this election, they've decided that some things are more important than voting for the candidate who most mirrors their religious beliefs.
I just wanted to hear from some people about that. That's all.

First, I'm not a conservative, Christian or otherwise. Second, I agree with you about people bringing up God in the context of a business transaction. I'd be very cautious.
My question was directed to conservative Christians who support Trump because I'm wondering how they reconcile their religious beliefs with his apparent values. To me there is a disconnect and I'm wondering how they deal with it.
