Glad he is gone. Senator wasn't good enough. He hated that job. Now he can be a lobbyist.

I think the GOP will have to line up behind Cruz as the "anti-Trump".
No chance the establishment asked Rubio prior to running to re-run for his Senate seat which he clearly ignored and now can no longer run for.

On top of that Floridians will not give him enough votes as Trump was right he was a no show Senator.

Rubio has openly stated that he want to become the next NFL Commissioner. IMO no chance either.

He is young. He will learn from his mistakes and try again. The biggest mistake was the betrayal of the people who put him in the Senate. He promised them he was going to DC to represent them, but he didn't even bother to vote for bills. The other mistakes were made during the campaign, mainly trying to play tough against Trump. That hurt him.

Yup, that should do it!
One is the most hated Senator in the Senate. The other was the laziest before he decided he had higher ambitions. Both with long histories of hating each other. And only Cubans really know how to hate. Imagine both of them in the same dark room with knives in their hands.

A real winning team for sure! How could they lose?

The Democrats were dumb enough to nominate Hillary, that's how.

Very good speech. Classy and inspiring and this guy has a great future in politics. It wasn't his time, but truthfully Rubio is the first candidate (out of all who have fallen by the wayside on the Republican side) that I was sorry to see go. Articulate, charismatic, optimistic (when he stays on message), a great story teller, Hispanic, good looking, and conservative. He'll be back.

Good Read Here. Rubio had figured out days ago that it was over for him.

The statement in bold letters is what hurt Rubio in Florida and IMO he will not will be elected in Florida for any other political position. The local politicians have been very loud ho they feel about Rubio and they are even from the same GOP/Rep. party!

Maybe if he would run in a different State where the Hispanic population will support him more than he may have a chance but Rubio also stabbed Jeb Bush in the back and went against the parties wish to let Bush run and Rubio wait for a different time and hold on to his senate seat.

Rubio hurt Bush and in the end it was a suicide mission when he went after Trump in such a disgusting way.

Rubio with a brother in law and sister who are felons and Rubio helped the felon to a realtor license in Miami is a subject that was hardly even touched but will probably come up if he really will be a front runner. When he run for the Senate seat that was not so much known but now it is.
