This is the type of attitude that is to blame for so much Trump support. There is a huge disconnect between the establishment and main street in the Republican Party. This year is prime for a 3rd party candidate.
No , not at all. Hillary is very popular with many people. She will continue the policies of the current administration and weaken the country. After eight years we won't have a country and no opposition to her party. She won't be able to run again. She can then invite the U.N. in to keep the piece and prevent chaos. Everyone loves the U.N. and wants to send them in to keep the piece around the world so why not here too. We all belong to one world and are confined to it. We will embrace being world citizens if someone who acts presidential explains it correctly. I see a smooth transition. Don't you ?
What I find hilarious is how upset all the Trumpers are about this. Where was all this pearl clutching outrage when Ron Paul supporters were screwed at the RNC in 2008?
I was never a Ron Paul supporter, but I have many friend who were, some were even at the RNC for the floor votes. Paul's people got screwed and all those "establishment" types stuck together. Yet now all the Trumpers are crawling out of the woodwork raising their fists in revolt.
If you think you are going to get the Ron Paul supporters backing for your outrage, I don't think you should hold your breath. And I salute them for that!!
I was there, "clutching my pearls" as you call it. My anger didn't start this year, my anger started back then, when I saw what they did to Paul.
Certainly do NOT agree with it, and it better not happen. However, basically the dems do the same thing with the super delegates. So far, 98% are going for Hillary, even in states where Bernie won or just barely lost such as Iowa.
The person with the MOST votes at the time of the convention should be the nominee; regardless if they have the magic number of not!
If republicans do not pick the one with the most votes, I'll sit out and vote for my dog on a paper ballet, then flush it. And I don't believe I will be alone.
If the republicans do NOT support whoever is the one, they might as well nominate Hillary cause they will turn the country over to the dems and we will be SCREWED big time.

When you get right down to it, what purpose does a convention serve beyond enforcement of contrived committee rules?
