Or he was basically running a satirical campaign.

His people are expecting this.

There was already no chance for him to get the nomination

In your wildest wet dream do you want him to run 3rd party and run interference on Clinton. You know she has a lock on Trump in a two person race and that's the only way Trump could win a general election.

As said many times, he can't in many states because he already ran on a major party's primaries

No kidding. You act like this is some sort of revelation.

Have you never seen a Presidential campaign before? Have you never noticed that some candidates run not intending to win but for some other reason? One of these reasons is an attempt to shift the narrative. Jim Webb did this. He was trying to pull the party toward the center (and failed spectacularly). Sanders was also doing this, but he was trying to pull the party, or at least eventual nominee Clinton, away from the center - and has succeeded to an impressive degree.

The fact that you were oblivious to this, and think that he's fake because he doesn't want to tank the left's chances in the general election, is:

1) no one's fault but yours, and
2) completely illogical

PS - I'm actually keyed in to a whole lot of Sanders folks, and not a one is so hopelessly deluded that they expect him to run as an independent. If you are... well, that's just you. Maybe if you'd paid a shred of attention to his repeated pronouncements that he will do nothing to help the Republicans capture the White House, you wouldn't be so blindsided by what was very obvious all along.

This is exactly correct. Bernie's narrative will now resonate through the Dem party if for no other reason than the amounts of votes he attracted. It shows the DNC and the party leadership that there is a fairly substantial appetite for the message Bernie has been using for his campaign. You will start to see some of the issues he has been highlighting in his campaign work their way into Dem talking points. He also now has leverage in the senate and will start pushing his agenda from there knowing that he has more power than he did last year as the kooky guy with the funny haircut from one of the New England states that no one can point out on a map.

I think you don't know the meaning of the word satirical.

Look up sore-loser laws and simultaneous registration dates. That's the reason Sanders can't just simply run as an Independent now. Just because you are a Trump supporter doesn't mean you have to also be willfully ignorant like he is. Google is your friend. Try it sometime.

Sanders has accomplished a great deal by pushing Hillary further to the left, which is what many Democrats wanted. And because he has made such a good showing and has garnered so many votes, he will have a big say in writing the Democratic platform.

Thanks, Bernie!
