Perspective. He needs to win BIG in big states, not tie. He will never catch up over 300 pledged delegates with ties or with wins in small states.

And the "he was behind in the polls" narrative is old. Michigan was a fluke of poor polling due to not having a contested primary in 2008. The fact that he can make up some of Hillary's lead is great for him but it's still not going to be enough. Hillary has an almost 3 times larger delegate lead than Obama ever had in 2008.

Bernie has to win 58 to 42 in every single state going forward and that's just counting pledged delegates. If you factor in the super delegates, he's got to win 69 to 31. Unless he starts winning a whole bunch of big states by at least 60-40, he's got no valid argument to try peel off any of the supers.

He was behind 30 points in her home state a week before the primary. Thats Illinois. Then suddenly boom, he was tied.

He obviously doesnt have to win every single state by 16 points. Everyone understands that this would be something of an average, so he can win some more and some less. He must win CA and NY though, and do great in the western states (blowouts in WA and OR probably) like he has done on the great plains.

Maybe he'll win 8 or 9 states in the coming month. That will build momentum. Of course, its a big uphill struggle no question about that, but if no one even tries to change the world for the better we might as well just abolish the democracy altogether and just go full on plutocracy and install some type of board who can run the country as a business. Many people seem to prefer this solution, both on the left and the right. After all, its "dangerous" to take on the special interests.

The Sandernistas are going to be so disappointed by the convention. They sound just like Hillary supporters in 2008, except Hillary was far closer to Obama than Sanders has ever been in this race. They're going to realize just how little they close the delegate lead with the smaller states he'll win over the next 3 weeks or so. She comes back with big wins in NY and PA which makes it mathematically impossible for him to come back.

If Momentum still mattered at this point, his Michigan win would have carried all 3 midwest states to victory last night.

Hillary has a larger delegate lead as of today than Obama ever had over Clinton in 2008. Though, I can't tell you the super delegate numbers.
