Uh oh. Now we learn they work. What happened to claiming they come here just to sign up for welfare?

Of course, the real reason they come is opportunity, you know, what we preach about.

By the way, the estimate for deporting 11 million people is between $400-$600 billion. So, add Trump's tax-plan's deficit of $1 trillion to the current $500 billion deficit plus the cost of deportation, we get a record $2 trillion dollar deficit.

First off, they aren't "immigrants" they are illegal aliens. They are motivated simply by their own selfish needs. They'd have to be pretty stupid not to know that they are competing unfairly for jobs against Americans by working for less when they don't even have a right to work here. Poor and desperate does not excuse anyone from breaking the law and creating hardships for others. Yeah, they are here for opportunities by violating our immigration laws and on the backs of the Americans taxpayer/worker.

The cost of allowing illegal aliens to remain here and to continue to come here are billions a year. It's much cheaper to deport them and completing the 700 mile wall would be a huge detterant for more to keep coming here. The best solution though is to remove all of the incentives for them to stay here and to keep coming here. Many if not most would self-deport with no means to support themselves. No deportation costs whatsoever.

Washington Post state voter ID chart

The state-by-state voter ID chart being distributed by Democratic organizations to illegal immigrants. Chart/image courtesy of the Washington Post.

Yes, some on the republican side cater to the illegal vote and I think it's very, very wrong, a major slap in the face to those who play by the rules.
"Illegal vote"? Puh-leez. Is there evidence, solid evidence that there is a significant number of illegal immigrants voting? And what proof do you have that this chart is being distributed to illegal immigrants?

Why Kris, I thought that you knew how to google. After all, if you knew how to google, you would have found that there is evidence of illegals voting. Here----I'll help you out this one time. You're welcome!

That article states the aid is for children who are native born.... which means they are United States citizens. Are those young citizens less deserving of aid because their parents don't have documentation?

well, maybe we can learn something from Mexican government. Trump is right, Mexican leader is way smarter than ours

Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:

in the country legally;
have the means to sustain themselves economically;
not destined to be burdens on society;
of economic and social benefit to society;
of good character and have no criminal records; and
contributors to the general well-being of the nation.

The law also ensures that:

immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;
foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;
foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country’s internal politics;
foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;
foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;
those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.

LOL Go Mexico.

This has got to be the stupidest thing ever. So you are an illegal who here and didn't go the the legal process of coming into this country... so now that you see something you disagree with you decide " oh gee I better go do what I should have did the 1st time"

That emoticon is very appropriate . . . This thread is only talking about legal permanent residents (green card holders) seeking citizenship. Illegals cannot obtain US citizenship. Let's try to keep up, ok?

Nowhere does the article state the nationality of the children. Some were born here and others were brought with their parents. The aid goes to the HOUSEHOLD. Food, diapers, and schooling aside, I somehow I doubt newborn babies or five years-olds are spending cold hard cash on themselves every month. And they do know how babies are made in other countries, don't they? If you've already broken the law to sneak into another country or overstay your visa, and you are already impoverished, why put yourself and your family in further jeopardy by choosing to have several children on that country's soil? Oh right--because without them you don't get welfare! In Texas a group of Central American women sued the state for their children's birth certificates, and explicitly stated that they needed those documents to draw government services. People aren't even hiding this as a reason anymore. And again, the LA County Dept of Public Health did not say in this article what percentage of those children were born abroad.
