And as I already stated, the Trump delegates and Cruz delegates will not, no way change their votes for an establishment candidate which includes everyone else along with Kasich, Rubio, and Bush. Therefore the establishment candidate whoever it may be they push out there will never have enough votes.
On the contrary, if only a few Cruz delegates jumps ship and goes into the Trump camp, Trump wins. That's assuming he doesn't go into the convention with the needed amount already which actually looks like he has a good chance of doing just that at this point.
The delegates could become unbound, and vote for whoever they want, or are told to vote for by the GOP establishment. So we could end up with Kasich, Rubio, or Bush.

You mean the rapid growth of the internet, and e-commerce that caused the economy to expand in the 90's, and the Great Recession caused by the policies enacted while Bill Clinton was president.

The chances of a large amount of those delegates if any jumping ship and going for the establishment are extremely slim to none. They are strongly committed. There may be a small handful that do, but that won't make a bit a difference since the combined delegates held by Cruz and Trump is huge.
What many people fail to realize is this isn't about the GOP picking their establishment candidate who is a "connected insider" it's the fact that the GOP realize this joke is not a serious candidate and is a real danger to democracy and the country. They are putting the country ahead of the party.
This is a man who recently said his top foreign policy advisor is himself.
This is a man who bragged about the size of his penis during a live presidential debate.
This is a man who just said there would likely be riots if he wasn't chosen.
This is a man who has encouraged violence at his own rallies and and offered to pay the legal bills of those who engage in it.
This is a man who has not bothered to educate himself in the slightest on the issues he will be directly influencing and is operating on 100% ego
The truly scary part of all of this is that his supporters just don't care!
If someone says the right things and pushes the right buttons they line up and follow along blindly.
When Obama was elected, we used to make fun of the low-information Obama voter who wanted their Obama-phones and free stuff but now the GOP has their own brand of low-information voter and even if we manage to prevent a Trump presidency, they aren't going away.

The delegate are party insiders, they will follow their marching orders. They wouldn't need many to jump ship to get Cruz the nomination.
Rule 40 won't be necessary for Trump. Contrary to what many people are led to believe, the establishment still needs the majority of delegates held by Cruz and Trump. No matter what rules they change, they can't make up their own delegates or snatch them out of the air. It's already insurmountable at this point.
If Trump does not win the nomination then America is not a real democracy. A party shouldn't try and stop the people's most favorite person from winning because that is so undemocratic.
This is not a democracy, it's a representative Republic and Trump supporters are going to learn that the hard way at the Convention.
